Ski Racing with the camera crane

Last weekend, the spectacular Lauberhorn race took place. Over three days, the men in Wengen showcased their skiing skills. And just like with the women, our camera cranes were, of course, part of the action – or better said, on the sidelines and at the finish line. The outstanding Swiss performance was accompanied by two camera cranes during the slalom and even by three cranes during the downhill.

For a successful live broadcast on SRF 2, a team from RemoteCamSystems was among those responsible. The interest from Mr. and Mrs. Swiss was tremendous and widely followed from home. Thanks to the extendable telescopic arm, every small pan and every photo finish was captured with the highest precision and transmitted directly to the ski fans’ living rooms.

With many beautiful winter moments, our cranes now return to Aadorf, where they will be dried and cleaned to deliver top quality for the next assignment
